Script – the free training and networking resource for journalists, scientists and anyone who wants to communicate science in an engaging and accurate way – is offering the chance to win a brand-new Canon camera up to the value of £200.
To enter the draw to win this fantastic prize all you have to do is complete any of the three Script courses by the end of September 2020. You can choose from the Science Communication Skills for Press Officers course, or the Science Communication Skills for Journalists and Media Skills for Scientists courses.
All the Script courses include a module on ‘How to Simplify Science’ which covers the use of photos, videos and other images to communicate science.
Charles Wendo, SciDev.Net’s Training Coordinator, said: “Use of good photos is one of the most effective ways to make science interesting and understandable to non-scientists. We hope graduates of our courses will find these cameras very useful in their efforts to communicate science.”
The winner will be selected through a random draw and notified by October 9 2020.
To date, 748 students have completed the courses and will be automatically entered into the draw.
