MSc in Agricultural Entomology, BSc in Botany/Zoology

I am an experienced agricultural entomologist with a background in agricultural research and mass rearing of beneficial insects and mites. Prior to joining CABI, I enjoyed a career as an Entomologist at a Biocontrol company where I developed experimental protocols, coordinated preparatory activities and followed up on correct implementation of experimental trials.

Within CABI, I previously led the e-plant clinic component of CABI’s Plantwise programme, which involved equipping agricultural extension workers with tablets, and training them on their use. In this role I was closely involved in the implementation phase in 6 countries in Africa, and maintained a global oversight of the initiative by coordinating with colleagues in Asia, Caribbean and Central America. At present, I support the implementation of the Plantwise programme in 12 African countries through working with Plantwise country teams, provision of liaison with Local Implementing Organisations (LIOs) and National Responsible Organisations (NROs).
