"I joined CABI as an Editorial Assistant in September 2006, with a BSc in Zoology from Leeds University. From there I moved into commissioning books before taking on a role in Product Management, evolving CABI’s digital publishing to improve our eBook distribution and acquisition models. I am now developing a new book list for CABI in agricultural and environmental engineering - subjects very close to CABI’s development work. I want to publish books on all technologies that improve agricultural productivity and sustainability, building a future where no one goes hungry. I contact authors with a tailored marketing plan for each book and send out the author questionnaire, to gauge the audience and market for the subject. I send out copies for book reviews, form relationships with societies, and ensure your book reaches its maximum potential through various promotional activities. I also deal with direct marketing for conferences, manage our social media platforms to encourage engagement in your book through blogs and develop and generate content.
