Throughout 2024, the UK-CGIAR Centre’s FRESH-EN UP project held a series of workshops designed to strengthen collaboration between many stakeholders. The project is a partnership between International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Its goal is to increase demand for fruit and vegetables in Tanzania, especially among women and adolescents.
The first workshop took place in Washington, D.C., in April 2024 to establish goals for the partnership, determine roles and responsibilities, and outline key steps.
In July 2024, a second workshop was held in London to refine the project’s scope and strengthen partnerships.
The FRESH-EN UP team convened for a third workshop in August 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania, following the 2024 FRESH Science Conference and annual meeting.
