PlantwisePlus is a global programme that supports smallholder farmers in low- and middle-income countries to produce more food using safer and sustainable crop production practices, thereby improving food security and rural livelihoods.
This report presents an update on PlantwisePlus’s implementation between January and December 2025. It describes selected highlights, challenges and progress related to the programme’s outputs through its three interconnected impact pathways: Pest Preparedness, Pesticide Risk Reduction and Farmer Advisory.

Farmers’ crops are increasingly at the mercy of climate change, pests and diseases. PlantwisePlus will work to help countries predict, prepare for and prevent potential threats and reduce crop losses. We will provide comprehensive support to countries and farmers so they meet the increasing global demand for quality food in a changing climate.
