BSc in Agricultural Science; PhD in Plant Pathology
I have worked as a scientist at CABI’s centre in South East Asia since July 2017. My role is to assist the implementation of plant pathology projects and support development of concept notes in the field of plant pathology or related topics. I contribute to the development of best practice guidelines to support regional or national ICM implementation.
I obtained my PhD in Plant Pathology where I developed a rapid detection method of viroid variants in oil palm and studied their accumulation. I am experienced in molecular biology techniques and approaches in plant pathology.
Before joining CABI, I was a post-doctoral fellow at Universiti Putra Malaysia. My work involved detection and gene analysis of viroid-infected oil palm using next generation sequencing and real-time PCR.
