I joined CABI in November 2018. My role includes data collection, management and analysis including design of survey instruments, primary data collection in the field as well as online data management for projects and programmes, in particular Plantwise.
I am a data expert with strong statistic and computer skills, specialising in data collection and advanced statistics. I have over eight years of experience working in research related assignments; data collection, entry and data management, designing tools and conducting surveys. In the last four years, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience providing monitoring and evaluating technical support in various agricultural and livelihood projects.
CABI has a regional centre for Africa in Nairobi. Agriculture is essential for sub-Saharan Africa’s economic growth and yet average crop yields in Africa are among the lowest in the world. Over 80% rely on it but many face challenges in growing sufficient good quality produce.
