Extension campaigns launched help fight Fall armyworm in Kenya and Uganda
Since 2017, CABI and partners have launched a series of extension campaigns in Kenya and Uganda in the fight against the invasive pest fall armyworm. These campaigns used integrated ICT-enabled approaches combining radio, SMS, and community video screenings with the aim of improving awareness, knowledge and management practices for fall armyworm.

Making agri-business work for women and youth
he Association of International Research and Development Centers for Agriculture (AIRCA) is working to improve agribusiness in the Lake Victoria Basin, Uganda, focusing on women and youth farmers. The work will combine the existing skill sets and experiences of AIRCA members, focusing on technologies relevant to the Basin that can be scaled up and out to achieve real impact in agricultural production and nutrition for the farmers and their families.
