CABI and the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture agree to establish new European Laboratory in Switzerland
On 1 July, Dr Trevor Nicholls, CABI’s CEO, and Vice Minister Chen Xiaohua of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture signed a Letter of Intent to establish a new European Laboratory in Switzerland. The Laboratory will focus on cooperative research in agricultural science and technology.
Celebrating 20 years of China’s CABI membership
On 25 November, CABI and key Chinese agencies celebrated 20 years of China’s CABI membership, a partnership that has seen close and fruitful co-operation across a wide range of areas, including information and knowledge management, scientific research, and international development in the fields of agriculture and the environment.
Joint Lab announces strong results for 2014
The 7th Steering Committee of the China-CABI Joint Laboratory (Joint Lab) was held in Beijing, China today. Hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, members reviewed Joint Lab’s progress in 2014 and plans for 2015. Joint Lab is now widely regarded as one of the top joint platforms within the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and announced a strong year in 2014.
