You are here: The UK-CGIAR Centre / Governance

The UK-CGIAR Secretariat comprises partnerships between the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the UK Research and Innovation Group (UKRI) and the CGIAR Science Leadership and System Office.

The UK-CGIAR will facilitate new partnerships between UK research and knowledge institutes and stakeholders from the public and private sectors with UK-CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) and CGIAR Research Centres.

The operations of the UK-CGIAR Centre will be subject to oversight by FCDO, CGIAR and UKRI, which, along with CABI, will form a group to provide a detailed management and governance framework for the Centre.

The Centre is funded through a grant from FCDO’s CGIAR support programme. It will be managed on FCDO’s behalf by CABI, the international, inter-governmental, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving people’s lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.
