Abstract

The effects were investigated of freezing time (2-24 h) on cysts of Cysticercus bovis [Taenia saginata] in heart, tongue and masseter of a 4-year-old cow slaughtered in Minas Gerais, Brazil. After freezing for 2 h, all cysts were still viable, while viability was zero for all cysts frozen longer.
