Abstract

The thin layer chromatographic technique described enables detection of aflatoxin M1 at 0.04 µg/l in milk and at 0.5 µg/kg in powdered milk. Using the technique, of 142 raw milk samples and 70 powdered milk samples examined only 2 positive powdered milk samples were detected.
