Abstract

The authors detected 32 human cases of ocular infection with T. callipaeda in Guang Hua, Hubei Province, China, between 1970 and 1975. Aged from 5 months to 23 years, 91% of these patients were <4 years old. Of domestic animals examined, 37 out of 39 dogs and 2 out of 4 cats were also found infected whereas 5 cattle, 40 pigs and 2 sheep were not. Worm loads were exceptionally high, ranging up to 193 adult worms...
