Abstract

Mastitis is now being encountered in Egypt mainly due to importation of stock. Out of 305 cows examined by the leukocyte count and Hotis test, and bacteriologically, two were affected with streptococcal, and two with staphylococcal mastitis. No cases were found among 294 buffaloes.-P. S. WATTS.
