Abstract

This article highlights the potential of soyabean silage as an alternative source of protein feed for formulating feeds intended for ruminants particularly dairy cows. Also discussed are the nutritive value, chemical composition and processing of soyabean silage.

Abstract

Official data on the occurrence of bovine tuberculosis in Brazil between 1983 and 1989 are presented and discussed. The infection was endemic throughout the country, reaching an equilibrium in the South and South East Regions, with herd and animal prevalences of 7% and 1%, respectively.
