Abstract

Abstract

The amounts of glucose, urea, creatinine, uric acid, bilirubin, total protein, albumin, cholesterol and triglycerides recorded in the fluid of hydatid cysts from the liver and lungs of cattle slaughtered in Turkey, are tabulated. Bilirubin and proteins were not detected in lung cyst fluid.

Abstract

The levels of Na, K, Cl, Ca, P and Mg were determined in the fluid of hydatid cysts from the liver and lungs of cattle slaughtered in Turkey. The amounts present were similar in fluid from lung and liver, except for Ca which was higher in the liver than in the lung hydatid fluid.
