Abstract

In saline containing labelled chlorine and bovine serum albumin (BSA), the 35C1 line width increases when certain metal ions are added. This effect can be used for studying binding of metal ions to BSA. The 35C1 line width technique is applicable to Hg, Cd, Pb, Zn, Th, Cu and Mn ions.
