Abstract

In an 18-month-old Great Dane which had collapsed during exercise, the ECG revealed a shortened P-R interval, a widened QRS complex (with an initial delta wave), and supraventricular tachycardia. The dog responded to digitalis therapy, though propanolol or quinidine might have been preferable.
