Alice Villalobos DVM FNAP
Dr. Alice Villalobos earned her DVM while completing a first generation oncology residency program at the University of California Davis in 1972 under the mentorship of Dr. Gordon Theilen, the forefather and editor of Veterinary Cancer Medicine. She is a charter member of the Veterinary Cancer Society and the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, President Emeritus of the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics and past President of the American Association of Human- Animal Bond Veterinarians. She has published a textbook, Canine and Feline Geriatric Oncology, chapters and numerous articles and is regarded as a pioneer in oncology and end of life care. She is a Leo Bustad Veterinarian of the Year recipient, a UCD Alumni Achievement Award winner and was recently honored with the SCVMA's Don Mahan Memorial Award.
