Derived from CAB Abstracts, the orignal applied life sciences database, Nematological Abstracts covers all aspects of nematode diseases and pest control, as well as the current research on nematicides, including the environmental impacts of nematicide residues and nematicide resistance. All aspects of free living soil nematodes, and entomophilic, marine and freshwater nematodes are also covered.

Each week Nematological Abstracts delivers all the new highly-targeted, searchable summaries covering key English and non-English language journal articles, reports, conferences and books about nematology.

Economics, extension and education

Covers economic losses caused by diseases, economics of disease control, extension information, information transfer, and disease management and nematology training.

Other nematodes and hosts

All aspects of entomophilic nematodes, non-parasitic soil nematodes, fresh water nematodes and marine nematodes are covered. Also included are other invertebrate hosts i.e. earthworms and gastropods, and biology of nematophagous fungi and bacterial symbionts such as Xenorhabdus spp.

Plant nematode diseases

All crops are featured, including cereals, grain legumes, root crops, fodder plants, fruit crops, nut crops, vegetables, fibre crops, oil crops, ornamental plants, sugar crops, stimulant plants, rubber, and industrial crops such as essential oil plants, culinary herbs, spices, dye plants and medicinal plants. Includes both traditional nematicides and natural nematicidal compounds.

Nematodes as genetic models

The use of nematodes, primarily Caenorhabditis elegans, to study the genetics of development and neurobiology.

Includes sprayers, application methods, nematode detection, identification and isolation techniques, inoculation methods and nematicide residue analysis.
