Abstract

This network was initiated in February 1999. Its activities are described and examples are presented of its use including the detection of malaria in illegal Chinese immigrants, an outbreak of trypanosomiasis amongst tourists to Tanzania, and malaria affecting tourists in the Dominican Republic.
