Using data from 1980 onwards the number of tourists and whether they are travelling by car, bus, etc. leaving/entering certain destinations in France are presented.
The use of a computer system to monitor tourists in the region of Aquitaine in France is evaluated. It is based on weekly accommodation data and sampling of number plates of cars to identify the origin of tourists and distance travelled.
