Blueberry pests, their management and cultivar resistance.

This chapter presents the most relevant pests, diseases and weeds that attack blueberries (Vaccinium spp.). The most common weeds, pests (insects, mites and nematodes) and diseases (fungal, bacterial, viral and phytoplasma-induced diseases) of highbush (V. corymbosum) and rabbiteye (V. ashei) blueberries are specifically covered. The control of these organisms, and the role of cultivar resistance in pest, weed and disease management are discussed.
