Abstract

Application and promotion of Mamestra brassicae nucleopolyhedrovirus suspension for control of Spodoptera frugiperda.

Abstract

Control efficacy of the wide-host range Mamestra brassicae nucleopolyhedrovirus against the fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda, was evaluated in corn fields. The 2Ă—109 PIB/mL Mamestra brassicae nucleopolyhedrovirus suspension at 50-60 mL per mu reached control efficacy of over 85% within 7 days post treatment. The product was used to control Spodoptera frugiperda on maize for 0.449 million mu in Jiangxi, Sichuan and Guizhou Province in 2019.
