Abstract

The comstock mealybug, Pseudococcus comstocki (Kuwana), a mealybug of Asian origin, was first observed in Switzerland in 2015 in orchards in the Riddes region, Valais. Since then, it has invaded new locations, where it regularly causes serious damage to grapes and is subject to compulsory control.
