Abstract

The presence of Proboscidea louisianica (Mill.) Thell. in Cortes de Pallás (Valencia, Spain) as a naturalized alien plant is reported. This species has been cultivated and used by the residents of Cortes de Pallás for many years, it is estimated at least more than 80 years ago. The main use that has been recorded through interviews from several elderly informants and residents is the recreational use of the fruits.
