Floristic inventories in localities of peninsula el ramón, antilla, holguín province, Cuba.
The peninsula El Ramón has been explored scarcely from the botanical point of view. With the goal to collect specimens and to make a floristic inventory, some localities of this region were visited and explored. Also images of specimens collected by precedent botanists were critically observed and analyzed. A total of 295 species of plants were identified and 62 specimens with duplicates were collected. The total of specimens collected in El Ramón, including those collected by other botanists in previous times, is approximately 140. The endemic taxa represent 15% among all those identified. Populations of 17 threatened taxa were found. A total of 37 exotic invasive or potentially invasive species were identified. Aristolochia trilobata and Vachellia roigii were recorded for the first time to the coastal fringe of Holguín province.
