Abstract

First report of Cucumber mosaic virus infecting bahizi (Angelica dahurica) in China.

Abstract

Baizhi (Angelica dahurica), an important traditional medicine, is widely planted in China, Korea and Japan. In May 2018, baizhi with ringspot and chlorotic spot symptoms was found in Haidian District of Beijing, China. The causal pathogen was isolated and identified as Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) based on nucleotide sequence analysis. This is thought to be the first report of CMV infecting A. dahurica in China.
