Abstract

Evaluation of oviposition of Goniozus legneri Gordh (Hymenoptera: Bethylidae) on different Lepidoptera of horticultural interest». Goniozus legneri (Hymenoptera: Bethylidae) is parasitoid of Lepidoptera. The objective of this work was to evaluate oviposition on alternative hosts: Cydia molesta, Cydia pomonella, Plodia in - terpunnctella, Spodoptera frugiperda, Lobesia botrana, Tuta absoluta and Galleria melonella. Hosts and parasitoids were placed together in 30 ml containers, at 25°C, with constant light, and the oviposition was recorded at 96 hours. All species were parasitized, suggest - ing their potential use of G. melonella is for the mass rearing of the parasitoid to be used in inundative releases.
