Characterization of the mitochondrial Cytochrome Oxidase I region of the species Odontesthes humensis.

The aim of this study was try to characterize the Mitochondrial Cytochrome oxidase I gene of Odontesthes humensis. Assembly was carried out by reference through the Bowtie2 program, using as reference the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene of the Odontesthes Bonariensis species. The totals of 53 reads aligned to 652 base pairs of the reference gene, revealing 7 sites of differentiation between species. From the new generation sequencing the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I gene of the species Odontesthes humensis was characterized, being of great relevance to the base of future works of conservation and genetic improvement.
