Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Passed spinipes (Erichson, 1833), new record for the Canary Islands (Coleoptera, Bruchidae).

Abstract

This paper reports on the discovery of the presence of the invasive Passed spinipes during surveys conducted in the Canary Islands (Spain), in 2008. The specimen was found in the town of Puerto del Carmen and identified based on its morphological characteristics. This is thought to be the first report of P. spinipes in the Canary Islands.
