Abstract
This report covers the work of the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) in 2017. It includes feature stories on: the fight against fall armyworm in Africa; the role of improved seeds in reducing malnutrition in Haiti; the wheat seed sector in Ethiopia; public-private partnerships in the maize seed systems of Africa and Latin America; sustainable sourcing partnerships for maize and wheat in Mexico; rural mechanization; and zinc-enriched wheat to fight malnutrition in Pakistan. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) icons attached to each story help signal how CIMMYT's work ties to the SDGs.
