This proceedings contains 8 papers focusing on the infection characteristics of some common plant parasitic nematode species, such as Meloidogyne and Pratylenchus spp., their hosts and strategies developed for their control. The discovery of a new nematode species in Costa Rica (Dolichodorus costaricensis sp. nov.) is presented and the use of entomophilic nematodes in the control of the invasive ant species Atta sexdens is highlighted.
