Abstract

Parasitoids (Diptera: Tachinidae) of the fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) in maize in Durango, Mexico.

Abstract

Four species of tachinid flies were found as parasitoids of the fall armyworm in maize: Lespesia aletiae (Riley), L. archippivora (Riley), Winthemia deilephilae (Osten Sacken), and Archytas marmoratus (Townsend), attacked this pest in the field. Winthemia deilephilae is a new record for Mexico as a parasitoid of Spodoptera frugiperda, and the four species are new records for the State of Durango.
