Invasive Species Compendium

Detailed coverage of invasive species threatening livelihoods and the environment worldwide

Abstract

Investigation on the current density and infringement status of Dongying City in 2016.

Abstract

Objective: To understand and master the population composition and density, seasonal fluctuations and invasive status of earthworms in Dongying City, and to provide scientific basis for formulating scientific and rational prevention and control strategies. The method was monitored by the stick-trap method. Results: In 2016, the city captured a total of 4,641, 4,585 small Germans, accounting for 98.79%; 11 Japanese giants, accounting for 0.24%; 45 cane, accounting for 0.97%. The density of cockroaches was 3.97 pieces/sheet, and the invasive rate was 23.69%. The dominant population in Dongying City is small and cheap in Germany. In May, there was a small peak of 3.42/sheet; in August, it reached the highest peak at 5.60/sheet. Conclusion: The density and invasive rate of carp are the highest in the farmer's market and small catering. Based on environmental governance, it is recommended to apply a combination of physical and chemical methods to reduce the density of mites, control the damage of cockroaches, and reduce the spread and occurrence of vector-borne infectious diseases.
