Abstract
First report of Rhizoctonia solani AG1-IB on Rosmarinus officinalis in the United Kingdom.
Abstract
In 2015, six-month-old rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) plants were received by the Fera Plant Clinic for diagnosis. Web blight symptoms were present, including necrotic areas on stems and leaves. The causal pathogen was identified as Thanatephorus cucumeris AG1-IB based on morphological, molecular and pathogenicity analyses. The obtained sequence was deposited in GenBank (accession no. KU216129). This is thought to be the first report of T. cucumeris AG1-IB in the UK.
