Abstract

Allelopathy comparison of different extraction of the seeds of invasive plant Xanthium spinosum.

Abstract

An indoor test was conducted in Yili Normal University, China in 2015 to investigate the allelopathy of different extracts of the seeds of the invasive plant Xanthium spinosum. Four treatments were used and replicated 3 times. Petroleum ether showed a significant allelopathic promoting effect on plant root growth, but chloroform showed significant allelopathic inhibitory effects on plant growth.
