Abstract

Green biological control strategy of potato beetle.

Abstract

Potato beetle is a globally recognized, destructive and quarantined pest, and is an invasive pest in China. In order to effectively control potato beetle, a lot of work in the control strategy was done by scientists at home and abroad. The control strategies include physical control, chemical control and traditional biological control. Based on these control strategies, a trinity green control concept on the combination of insecticidal fungi-gene interference-insecticidal protein was put forward, which might effectively overcome the limitation of a single agent, i.e., single use of one method favours the development of pesticidal resistance, and a single biological pesticide has a long cycle and low insecticidal effect.
