Studies concerning the new invasive species, Cydalima perspectalis Walker (box tree moth) in Cluj area (Romania).

Abstract

The box tree moth, Cydalima perspectalis Walker is a new invasive pest species in Europe from 2006, as a harmful defoliator affecting the Buxus spp. and spreading continously in many European countries. Our research carried out in April-July 2016 in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), in laboratory and field conditions. In the paper there are presented the results of our studies on morphology and bioecology of this invasive pest, in ecological conditions of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
