Male fruit flies, a new threat to black pepper cultivation in Kerala, India.
Abstract
This paper reports on the damage caused by the fruit flies Bactrocera dorsalis and B. caryeae on black pepper crops in Kerala, India, in 2015. Information on the efficacy of the use of methyl eugenol traps and spray jaggery containing malathion (0.1%) in the control of these damaging pests is also discussed.
