Abstract

Myzus mumecola, a new aphid pest of apricot.

Abstract

During surveys conducted in apricot orchards in Emilia Romagna, Italy, during the 2016 spring season, the presence of aphids causing significant damage to apricots were observed. The causal pests were identified as Myzus mumecola based on morphological and molecular analyses. This is thought to be the first report of M. mumecola on apricots in Italy.
