Abstract

This paper reports on the discovery of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) that overwintered in Morse Spring, a small, impounded spring located in Morse Park, Neosho, southwestern Missouri, USA. The tolerance of this invasive aquatic weed to near-freezing temperatures are also discussed.
