Vulpia myuros (Poaceae) in anthropogenic habitats in Wrocław - stability of localities, way of dispersion and morphological variability.
Vulpia myuros is a rare and threatened with extinction species in Poland. In years 2001-2013, 18 stands of the species were noted in Wrocław, mainly on pavements and roadsides, where Vulpia seeds were transported with sand and gravel. Morphological variability of plants observed in urban habitats was extraordinary high and went beyond described limits. Research of morphological variability extent was tested in three control plots exposed to S, E and N, covered by similar substratum and colonised by genetically uniform plants of V. myuros. Results of research and proposition of diagnostic features are presented.
