First report of Tobacco ringspot virus infecting Ajuga reptans in Ohio.

Abstract

During surveys conducted in Ohio, USA, in 2011, a bugleweed sample was tested positive for a viral disease. The causal pathogen was identified as Tobacco ringspot virus (TRSV) by RT-PCR. This is thought to be the first report of TRSV infecting Ajuga reptans in Ohio.
