Clinical examination and major diseases of most common caviomorph rodents.

Abstract

Caviomorph rodents have anatomic and physiologic caracteristics complety different from domestic carnivores. As laboratory medicine and diagnostic imaging are very difficult to perform in these little patients, a corret clinical approach is very important to get a diagnosis. Semeiotic examination, clinical methodology and information about most common patologies are reported as well.
