Pest risk analyses for new or emerging pests.

This paper summarizes the results of pest risk assessment conducted for the following pests, of which some were reported from Germany between 2009 and 2010, and some present a risk of being introduced into the region: cherry fruit fly (Drosophila suzukii), which was observed in Italy and has potential to cause damage on grape; tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta) on tomato and petunia [Petunia sp.] in the Netherlands; Ataenius picinus reported from Italy, and from New Zealand on strawberry, potato and beans [Phaseolus vulgaris]; strawberry beetle (Stelidota geminata); and Helicotylenchus dihystera on palm trees.
