Abstract

The results of a field experiment conducted in Austria during 2009 and 2010 to investigate the efficacy of insecticides mixed with a feeding stimulant (cucurbitacin) against the Western corn rootworm (D. virgifera virgifera) are presented. The feeding stimulant generally enhanced the efficacy of the insecticides, allowing the reduction of insecticide application rates.
