Abstract

Current situations and causes of the decrease of honey bees in the world.

Abstract

A study on the current situations of honey bees and the causes of the decrease of the honey bees are explained. The causes of the decreases are listed as agricultural chemicals such as neonicotinoids, honeybee mite such as Mesostigmata, and virus such as Chronic Bee Paralysis (CBP) virus, Sacbrood Bee Virus (SBV), Deformed Wing Virus (DWV) and Acute Bee Paralysis Virus (ABPV), as well as bacteria. America Foulbrood Dease (AFB) is a worldwide major disease of honeybee caused by Paenibacillus larvae. As other causes, parasitic insects and pathogenic fungi are presented, including Acarapis woodi and Ascosphaera apis.
