Abstract

Evaluation of neem based pesticides against coconut eriophyid mite, Aceria guerreronis Keifer in Konkan region of Maharashtra.

Abstract

The different neem based formulations were evaluated at Regional Coconut Research Station, Ratnagiri against coconut eriophyid mite in 2003-2004. There were eight treatments replicated four times in RBD. The Ecotin 50000 ppm at the rate of 7.5 ml in 7.5 ml water recorded 6.73 percent mite infestation and 8.44 mite population per 4 mm2 and found best in management of coconut eriphyid mite. The treatment was effective in reducing 92.92 per cent eriophyid mite damage. The Neemazal 50000 ppm @ 7.5 ml was second best treatment (92.80% reduction) for the management of eriophyid mite.
