Abstract

Monitoring of development of sunflower diseases on early and medium maturing cultivars was carried out in northern and central zones of the Krasnodar region, south Russia, during 2002-04. Data are included on spread of powdery mildew [Plasmopara halstedii], Phomopsis [Diaporthe helianthi], grey rot (Botrytis cinerea), white rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum), Fusarium + charcoal rot (Sclerotium bataticola [Macrophomina phaseolina]), dry rot [Rhizopus stolonifer var. stolonifer] and Alternaria on cultivars P-453 and Master in northern and central zones.
